1932 – The Indian Air Force was established

1945 – Microwave oven was patented

1958 – First pacemaker was installed by Dr Ake Senning (Stockholm)

2004 – Kenyan Wangari Maathai was the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for “her contribution to sustainable development, democracy and peace”

2018 – Major climate report by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for the UN says planet will warm 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit (1.5 degrees Celsius) by 2040 with dire results…
